The Tennessee County Commissioners Association (TCCA) was
created in 1969 to promote efficiency in county governments
through their legislative bodies.  TCCA Executive Director David
Connor represents all 95 counties before the Tennessee General
Assembly, the Governor's office, and works closely with all
Tennessee state departments.

TCCA is an affiliate of the Tennessee County Services Association,
sharing office space with TCSA and the Tennessee County Highway
Officials Association.

The following power point presentation was presented in the BEP 101 – A
School Funding Primer workshop at the TCSA annual fall conference this
year.  This popular session was taught by Lynne Holiday and Wesley
Robertson of CTAS.  Several attendees asked that the materials be made
available on the web.  It is posted here as a pdf. for your convenience.  If
you prefer to have the presentation as a power point file, contact our office
and we can e-mail it to you in that format.

Public budget hearings for state departments and agencies concluded at
the end of November.  The video streaming of these hearings is available
at
www.tn.gov

The operations of many state departments and agencies potentially impact
county government directly or indirectly.  Staff of our agency has
reviewed these budget hearings and provided a list of some important
points from each hearing.  Most of these summaries indicate how the
department intends to meet the requested 5% budget reduction, in the
event that such cuts are necessary.
